First time I hear of this word: chackie. It’s weirdly similar to Slovenian ‘čačka’, pronounced chachka, meaning a child’s drawing or a scribble. What is the origin of yours?

So the actual dictionary version (merriam-webster) is spelled tchotchke. Which means trinket, knickknack or collectible. As per M-W, “While many such words are of unknown origin, we know that tchotchke comes from the Yiddish tshatshke of the same meaning, and ultimately from a now-obsolete Polish word, czaczko.” 🙂
